The PoP-HealtH Mooc reopens: health surveys for everyone!

Retour

The 9th session of the free, online PoP-HealtH MOOC ‘Investigating health: how does it work?’ has been open for registration since the end of November on the FUN platform.

Organised by Isped (Institut de Santé Publique, d’Epidémiologie et de Développement), and the Bordeaux Population Health research centre (BPH, UMRS 1219 Inserm-Université de Bordeaux), this MOOC is aimed at students, teachers, researchers, health professionals or simply the curious who want to understand how health surveys are constructed. No prerequisites are required.

An introductory week followed by a six-week course covers the key stages in the design and implementation of a descriptive epidemiological survey.

The PoP-HealtH MOOC will start on 16/01/2025 and run for six weeks. Registration is now open and closes on 27/02/2025!

Most of the lecturers are public health research professors from the Isped and the BPH, who present their work as concrete examples of surveys. Learning is based on real cases, from the formulation of the study’s objectives through to the exploitation of the results. Isped’s innovative teaching methods are applied throughout the six-week course.
