The BPH is proud to announce that Hélène AMIEVA, researcher and director of the ACTIVE team, is a laureate of the 2024 selection of the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF) in the category of fundamental chair, starting from October 1, 2024, for a duration of five years, by an order from the Minister of Higher Education and Research.
The mission of the Institut Universitaire de France is to promote the development of high-level research in universities and to strengthen interdisciplinarity, by pursuing three objectives:
- Encourage institutions and teacher-researchers to achieve excellence in research, teaching, training, and dissemination of knowledge
- Contribute to the feminization of the research sector
- Contribute to a balanced distribution of university research across the country
Each year, scientists from all disciplines are appointed members of the Institut Universitaire de France, allowing them to consolidate their scientific positioning and support their research.
Hélène is a university professor in psychogerontology at the University of Bordeaux and a researcher at the BPH, responsible for the ACTIVE team. This appointment among the members of the IUF recognizes her excellence in teaching and research in psychogerontology.
