The website explained: “the results [of the French study] matter because the number of elderly drivers on the roads has been rising and is expected to continue growing, as baby boomers age and live longer than people did a generation ago”. According to the study “drivers entering old age report diverse driving habits. For example, hearing difficulties is a frequent condition, rarely considered a threat to road safety, and nonetheless associated with an increased crash risk”.
