Ismaila Ouedraogo awarded the EDSP2 2025 Interdisciplinary Thesis Prize

After defending his thesis on 14 February 2024, Ismaila Ouedraogo was convincing both the jury of his thesis defence and the jury that awarded the prize. He will receive an award, accompanied by an endowment, for the interdisciplinary nature of his work as part of the BPH AHeaD team

 

 

 

 

 

Ismaila was chosen from among 8 candidates as the winner of the 2025 Interdisciplinarity Thesis Prize awarded by the Societies, Politics and Public Health (SP2) doctoral school.
The aim of this prize is to highlight the interdisciplinary nature of the theses of doctoral students in Bordeaux, particularly in terms of the choice of subject, the collaborations developed and the experiments combining multiple approaches, tools and analyses.
With this prize, the SP2 doctoral school has chosen to reward the interdisciplinarity that is essential to research into the major scientific and societal challenges facing humanity.

 

 

After obtaining a Master’s degree in Health Engineering (IDS), with a biomedical engineering option, from Compiègne University of Technology in 2020, Ismaila is starting a doctorate in Public Health, with a Health Informatics option, with the Societies, Politics, Public Health doctoral school at Bordeaux University.

 

 

His prize will be awarded at the Doctoral School Day (JED) on 21 May 2025 at the Pôle Juridique et Judiciaire (PJJ) at the University of Bordeaux, an event that brings together doctoral students from each doctoral school, as well as researchers, to discuss and promote their work.
Ismaila will take one minute to present his thesis at the prize-giving ceremony at the end of the morning.
